Why Does The Labia Hurt After Shaving?

i shaved completely and hurts, usually its normal a get my bikini zone cream and problem solve, but in the last to weeks it hurts when I'm having sex with my husband, and after having sex i pee and it hurts, it feel like its burning, i ask my husband to check the area, but all we see it that the labia and the clitoris are red and I'm not having sex or shaving an its still hurts. what can it be? I'm going to the doctor but i want to have an idea at least.
