Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I used drops (Murine) for my red eye (in outer corner) which did sting quite a bit. I have previously had dry eyes over the years.. The eye has a little discomfort now but is a bit better, but still red in the same area. I am just wondering why it would sting? thanks Previous writing left the area....

Why Does The Medication For Red Eye Sting?
Hi, I am sorry for the situation you are in. Eye drops might cause a sting feeling for the first couple of minutes after applying due to their components. As long as that feeling is not persistent and you see improvement on your eye s symptoms, then, continue taking the eye drops. Otherwise, if the stinging will get worse or symptoms will get worse, then, should stop taking them and discuss it further with your doctor. All the best! Dr.Albana
