Hi,

Welcome to HCM.
You have not mentioned whether you have taken Tetanus Toxoid injection.
It looks like the bruise is caused by the dog bite. If the dog is domestic and if you can observe, the dog should be observed for 10 days. If the dog survives for more than 10 days, you need not take antirabies injection otherwise it is strongly recommended that you take antirabies injection.
The lump you feel must be local collection of blood under the skin which must have organised. If it is painful you need to consult your doctor again, otherwise it will gradually subside.

hi
welcome to healthcaremagic forum
as there is bruise and minor bleeding is there it is safer to take antirabies vaccine if you have not taken it previously .
or you can keep watch over dog if he die than you must take vaccine
otherwise keep area clean and open
never cover it
apply antibiotic cream over it
better to consult doctor
i hope i have answered your question

I have taken that shot and the dog was not a dog I know. It was just a dog that came running towards me from another house while I was walking.
