Why Have I Not Got My Periods Post-tubal Ligation With Symptoms Of Tender Breasts, Abdominal Hardness, And Nausea?

I am a 30 year old woman. I had a tubal 9 years ago. I have not had a period since before Halloween, I have tender breasts, hard lower abdomen, diarrhea, nausea. I have taken multiple pregnancy tests and all are negative. I’m just very confused and don’t know what to think or do.

Hi,

Possibility of pregnancy after 9 years of successful contraception is practically Nil. Your symptoms at present denote hormonal imbalance, which needs investigations and cause specific treatment by a gynecologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
