Why Having Body Ache And Losing Arm Strength During Cold Weather?
In warm weather I do much better but in cold weather I ache a lot, have lost a lot of strength in my hands, & they hurt. I have several lupus markers, but not lupus. Taking Lipitor for cholesterol and have very recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure. Again, I do so much better in spring, summer and fall but soon as the weather starts to get cold the aches come back and each year seems to get worse. I m female, 58 years old.
From the description provided by you, I feel that you might be suffering with Raynaud's phenomenon. Its a condition in which the body turns blue or cyanosed due to constriction of arteries in the cold. And usually found in females more than males. The constant exposure to cold decreases the blood flow to the tissues and muscles producing pain and fatigue.
You need to discuss regarding this with your treating doctor and try to keep yourself warm as much as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. If any further questions, will be happy to help you.
