Why Having Feeling Of Heart Racing And Pain In Chest?

Hello I'm a 24 year old male and have been experiencing this strange feeling in my sternum for about a year now and the pain has now moved to the left side of my chest. I recently had a strange feeling like my heart was racing and i felt kind of dizzy and scared. Then I started gagging and coughing pretty bad

Hello,

This may be related to anxiety. How the possibility of cardiac arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation or PSVT should be ruled out with further evaluation.

So you should get Ecg done especially during the episodes as ECG may be normal in between. You may need Holter monitoring if Ecg is not informative.

Also, get thyroid and haemoglobin tested. You'll need beta blockers like tab metoprolol to control these so should get it prescribed from a local doctor.
