Why Having Hives On Face, Ears And Arms When Getting Emotional, Angry Or Nervous?
I get red blotchy hives on face, ears, chest, and arms when I get emotional especially angry, nervous, or anxious. When I cry I get really red around my eyes also. You can tell that I have been emotional or crying for quite some time after the fact. It is very embarrassing. When I get the hives I feel like I am heating up more as they come on and my skin is hot to the tough. Please help me figure out what this could be.
It may be just flushing or pschogenic urticaria. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. If it is flushing, there may be redness on the the face, when you are mentally disturbed. If it is psychogenic urticaria, there may be redness with wheal like lesions. It may be caused by pschological factors like anxiety, stress or depression. There may be itching and burning. For relief, take anxiolytic like fluoxetin 10 mg daily. And if the lesions are there, take antihistaminic like levocetirizine or fexofenadine. If more severe, short course of steroids may be taken. I hope you got my answer.
