Hello,

Pain and cramps are quite common after mirena or any other IUDs. It’s quite common especially in the initial weeks after the insertion. You can take mefenemic acid (meftal) tablets for symptomatic relief. If pain persist, you have to consult your gynecologist and check whether the mirena is misplaced it is there any signs of infection. In case of misplaced device it has to be removed and reinserted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
