Why Having Terrible Mood Swings, Cries For No Reason And Not Speaking To Family Members After Taking Ginet 84?

My 16 year old daughter has been taking ginet 84 for past 6 months and has for the past 4 months had terrible mood swings. Her personality has changed, she is very tearfull, cries for no reason, does not want to communicate with the rest of the family and says she has no idea why she feels this way

Hi,

Ginet 84 contains cyproterone acetate and ethinyl estradiol. There have been reports of serious psychiatric adverse effects in women on this combination of drugs. Depression has been reported by many women and I guess that is what your daughter is going through. Please inform her doctor immediately and discuss what should be done about Ginet 84. She may also need a psychiatric consultation. Please keep an eye on her as there is a risk of self harm.

Hope this helps her. Best wishes.
