Why Heart Was Beating Fast With Breathing Difficulty And Numbness In Mouth Which Eased With Bp Pill?
i was having a funny feeling in left side of my body, my heart was beating fast, i coudnt breathe well and the roof of my mouth was numb... i took my bloodpressure pill and within 30 minutes the symptoms eased up. Do you know what was happening to me?
I passed carefully through your concern and would explain that a possible bout of hypertension could be the cause of your complaints. Probably you need to optimize your current antihypertensive therapy.
Coming to this point, I recommend to closely monitor your BP values several times daily for a couple of days and refer them to your attending physician.
In addition, several lab tests should be checked to exclude possible secondary causes of hypertension and guide the therapy:
- complete blood count, - thyroid hormones level, - liver and renal function tests, - fasting blood glucose, - resting ECG, - cardiac ultrasound, - chest X ray study, - blood lipid profile, - uric acid
You should discuss with your doctor on the above mentioned issues.
Hope you will find this answer helpful.
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
