Why I Am Getting Periods Twice In A Month?

an question regarding my period, this is the first time that my period has came back on twice in one month, it went off and stayed off for about 5 days, then it came back on and has been on for a total of 8 days now. not sure if fibroids or just a change in flow, does this mean that i do have fibroids?
