Why I Am Not Getting Proper Erection After Sex?

I recently had prolonged, tense during my vacation with my wife. We had sex for 5-6 consecutive days, 3-4 hours daily. I noticed on the last day, my penis was not very hard, and even was non-erect after one hour of sex. Did I have too much sex- not enough oxygen. Now its 2 weeks, and I get erect but not very hard-- I cant feel that hard vessel I felt from my rectum to my shaft as before. Help. 47 yrs-5'6"-170 lb male

Hi! How much sex is too much sex? Is there a defined norm of sexual frequency? It is such a variable phenomenon that it is near impossible to quantify it. In an individual case, though, one can know, by empirical experience, the limits of one's enjoyment of sex. For man in his late forties you've done well,in a general sense, to have had 'sex for 5-6 consecutive days, 3-4 hrs.daily.' What you experienced later (erectile dysfunction) was actually a 'sexual burnout' - your body's way to remind you of the limits of your sexual prowess. Neurologically speaking there was a 'downregulation' of the 'pleasure' receptors in the concerned part of the brain. Do not worry - a few days of 'sexual rest' and things will be up & running again. All the best!
