Why Is CPR Required To Start A Heartbeat In A Person?

Hi i have an uncle in hospital at the inute and on sat morning at 9am his heart stopped for 45seconds, he was given cpr and it started beating again, then again at 3,30pm it stopped again but started back up without any cor...can you plese tell me a little about this..

CPR is done to revive a stopped heart back to normal rhythm. We can not guarantee whether the revived heart function normally or whether it’s a transient reversal. Continue supportive care and at any time he will go for another arrest.
