Why Is FFT Test Done?

Hi doc, my name is Naina, Yesterday my mom 56 years Post menopausal, weight 55kg. Few days before she had a US sonography done and doctor told her that she has a Fatty liver and our family doc asked her to do FFT test. She is not suffering from diabetes or any other disease. Could you please let me know why this FFT test is done? Is it serious? Any other test need to be done. If all the test are normal what is treatment for fatty liver?

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have fatty liver. You should go for complete liver function test. It is called LFT. It will give you exact idea how much damage occurs in your liver. Then you should take treatment accordingly. Avoid alcohol, high fatty diet and hepatotoxic drugs.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
