I am expectant and my due date for delivery is 17 June. During my last visit with the doctor before 3 days he prescribed the medicine i.e. Premarin 0.625 mg tablet of wyeth. Now i want to know that for which purpose this tablet is advised me. Kindly also inform me the purpose and side effects of this tablet.
The Premarin is conjugated estrogen and strictly contraindicated during pregnancy as it comes under pregnancy category IV drug. There are ample number of side effects such as: - Nausea - Bloating - Vomiting - Diarrhea - Skin flushing - Hyper-pigmentation of skin - Headache - Vertigo - Anxiety and tremulousness - Others
Kindly consult your OBGYN before commencing the drug as there may be problem at chemist shop for the prescription change or else.
