Why Is A Sputum Test Required While Undergoing A TB Treatment?

I am taking tb tratment from last 6 month and 10 days .. Now my doctor asked me for the sputum test .. I m feeling much better but did not gain the weight .... My x ray is normal which i m doing twice in month .. So why sputum test?? Can i take little alcohol sometimes??

Hi, sputum test is required to see if the tuberculosis bacilli has disappeared from the sputum or not. It is an indication of the success of treatment. Avoid alcohol till the course of treatment.
