Why Is An Ablation On The Heart Being Done?

I m a 43 year old male and going in for an ablation in am. I had the tee and cat scan plus blood test today. My question is why dr is doing an ablation when my heart is in 30 s bam multiple times a day. I ve been in a fib a few times but the low heart rate is on a daily basis. I haven t been able to work in months due to this.

atrial fibrillation is treated with a dual approach, one is controlong the rate and other controling the rythm. rate control is usually good with medication while rythm control is achieved best with ablation, though there are medications availabe. ablation is a good approach and a better solution as it eliminates the side effects of rythm control drugs. always discuss with your cardiologist all the details and options about the treatments
