Why Is My Ear Still Blocked After An Ear Flush?

I had a fllu last week then it went to my middle ear and caused infection. The doctor I went to flushed my ear and he did it quite hard and it extremely hurt. My ear is still blocked a week later and I am worried he caused permanent damage. I have had two courses of antibiotics.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
in my opinion this feeling of blockage of ear may be due to flu which causes eustachian tube catarrh and prevent aeration in the middle ear. I would recommend you to take a short course of antibiotics xylometazoline nasal drops and antihistaminic medication. once your eustachian tube opens, you will feel better. if even after taking treatment this feeling remains then your ear need to be examined for perforation of ear drum, of plugged wahin EAC.
