Why Is My Face Tight And Pains To Open My Full Mouth?

Hey I was brushing my teeth, I then went to clean my tongue and when doing so I may have opened my mouth too much and felt a pain in my jaw. Since then the right side of my face really hurts and I have a hump under my chin on the right side. My face also feels really tight from the right side

I have gone through your query regarding tightness on opening the mouth along with pain over jaw, all these developed after wide opening of mouth for cleaning the tongue.

As you said that during wide opening the mouth you felt pain in jaw and a swelling appear over chin and right side cheek. Your this clinical history favours that your temporomandibular joint on right side get traumatize by wide opening and there are possibility of tear of ligaments of joint which are giving pain and are responsible for swelling.
