Why Is My Groin Area Hurting After An Ant Bite On Leg?

After being bitten by a green-head ant on the leg, not only does the place where it bit me hurt and swell a bit, but my upper thigh/groin area also starts to hurt. Maybe the poison travels up my leg and I feel it in that area? Sometimes it happens in my neck too. It's happened a few times now, and I was wondering if it's anything to be worried about.

Hi. Very good observation. The pain in the groin is due to the poison is transported through another channel called lymphatics , it is concentrated in the lymph nodes in this area casing the pain .
