My heart used to beat really fast for no reason when i used to sleep, this was a either a year ago i think. It used to be like only 4 times. It went away but than it started to beat really fast for no reason. I know it s not anxiety because i would sit on my computer and it would beat fast for a few seconds than go away, it happens pretty often but i didn t think it was a big deal. I want to know what s the cause for it, im only 15 years old, and i don t think i have high blood pressure because my doctor never mentioned i did and yeah. Is this a temporary thing ? I really want to know, is it a big deal? Please help ! I ve heard people get it having attacks for about 5 minutes, am i going to be like that? HELP please!
Hi Lisamay!!
When your heart is beating extra fast for no apparent reason, that is called tachycardia.
You really need to see your doctor, since it could be serious. I have a friend who has it. She is on medication to control it and she is doing great!! She is also a young woman, so really....get it checked ASAP!!!
Here's a link to help you read more about tachycardia http://www.mayoclinic.org/tachycardia/symptoms.html
Hope this helps & God bless!!!
