Why Is My Hip Painful To Touch After A Fall?

i fell on the ice 8 days ago. Landed on my left hip. yes it hurt but I can walk just fine without pain. but, it hurts to touch. Can not lay on my left side at all and if someone bumps into me hitting my left hip it really hurts. Am i just a boob and need to give it more time to heal -or -should i go to the Doctor?
