Why Is My Knee Swollen And Jammed Like A Rusty Door Hinge?

my knee is all messed up i cant run or anything it hurts when im sitting nothing helps its been swollen to the size of a football i am ver heavily involved in sports, It feels like a rusty door hinge when i run i have no clue what it is but it hurts so bad help>?
