Why Is My Pulse Rate High On A Home Heart Monitoring Machine?

I was just discharged from a heart hospital and was told everything was normal...no heart attack. I still can feel my heart through my chest and my heart rate ranges from 105 to 115 on my home machine. What does this mean? Blood pressure fluctuation from 166/ 90 to 127/78 in a 45 minute period.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Considering you are evaluated, I guess your ECG, echo are normal. You should get your pulse rate checked when you are resting for 5-10 min. Also, the possibilities for these are anxiety, low hemoglobin or thyroid problems so these should be checked. Also, check your BP while resting with arm relaxed and should take two to three readings. Because there may be erratic readings with electronic BP apparatus. Its better if you are able to upload your reports.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
