Why Is My Semen Turning Thick?

hi ,i am 42 and i have recently been noticing clear rice shaped ,jelly like lumps in my semen and sometimes semen is very thick , making it awkward in exiting penis ,please could you tell me if this is anything to be concerned about ,ie prostate cancser symptoms etc ,thanks doc

But, there is nothing to worry if it is thick or thin as it's quality does not depend on its consistency. If you are doubtful, you can get a semen analysis done once.

But this is unlikely to be a prostatic problem since there is no blood in semen. However, this could be due to a urinary tract infection which can be diagnosed by a urine analysis.
