Why Is My Tongue Red Around The Edges And Sensitive?

I have a problem with my tongue, its red around the edges, very sensitive and hurts when I eat hot, spicy, minty or stongly flavored food. I have no white patches, just red smooth patches. I've had this for about 6 weeks now, and it never seems to get better. I've had a blood test and it has ruled out vitamin B12 deficiency. Can you help
