Why Is Paracetamol Recommended By ICMR For COVID When It Isn T Effective In Controlling My Fever?

I took dolo 650 when temperature was 100.5°F. But temperature keeps rising to 101.5 after 2.5 hrs. Is this medicine is not effective This I observed 2- 3times. Doctor told to add meftal. Why ICMR is recommending paracetamol in covid when it is not wffective.
