Why Is The Back And Roof Of My Mouth Is Yellow?

The back and roof of my mouth is yellow including on my tonsils and uvula. I also have prominent veins where the yellow coloring is and groups of veins on my tonsils. I have no pain in my mouth just slight discomfort around the tonsils when I swallow. Is it nothing or should I be worried?

Hi dear ,

As per your query you have yellow discoloration in oral cavity .There can be many reasons for yellow discoloration , but in your case it seems to me that acidic reflux could be the reason . Sometimes there is no symptoms of heart burn in acidic reflux disease also known as silent reflux disease . The other reasons can be metal poisoning , Kaposi sarcoma or Addison’s disease . I would suggest you to consult oral pathologist and do salt water rinses 2-3 times a day .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
