Why Is The Blood Sugar Normal When Tested And Doctor Diagnoses For Type II Diabetes And The Medications Given For High BP Making Me Sick?

My doctor recently diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes. He gave me a script for it plus a scrip for high blood pressure. I tried the blood pressure meds & felt very sick so I stopped taking them. Also I did not take any of the diabetes meds. My question to you is..I test my blood all the time and not once have I been out of the normal range. Why is this????

Hello,

In this modern day lifestyle diabetes can affect anybody irrespective of age if they have high risk factors like lack of physical activities, stress, obesity etc..
So once you're diagnosed with diabetes then it is important to follow the treatment to control the blood sugar and postpone the complications of diabetes.
FBS more than 126 mg / dl and PPBS more than 200 mg / dl and HbA1c more than 6 % is diagnostic of diabetes.
So in my opinion it is advisable to follow you're doctor's advice in this regard.
