Why Is There A Termination In Menstruation For Five Years?

I am a 57 year old female, never had children. I began bleeding lightly 5 days ago. I have not had a period for 5 years, I had a pelvic exam 3 years ago with no problems. I am not experiencing any pain, there is no history of pelvic or cervical cancer in my family.
