Why Isn T The Bacteria Clearing Despite Taking An Antibiotic Course For Klebsiella In My Semen?

Hi doc! I have bacterial infection in my semen report( Klebssiela spp). My doctor give me 10 days of antibiotics. And i completed that and i repeat test again but infection is still on there. My DRE,USG for kidney, bladder, prostate everything is normal. Last February i got UTI same infection (Klebssiela pneumonia) i take antibiotics with doctor prescription. Then i repeat test again. There is no bacteria present in semen culture. This semen infection is very annoying like penis irritation, vibrating on penis tip area. Why don t this bacteria cured? Antibiotics resistance?

Hello,

I think you may need to repeat the semen culture now that you are having symptoms. I think you may need to use the right antibiotics in order to cure it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
