Why My Periods Are Missing?

Hi I'm 28 with one child and I had my implant removed on the 14 June, we've had unprotected sex a few times and I honestly dont think I'm pregnant, I'm not having periods yet, Does this mean I'm not ovulating? When are my periods likely to return and is it possible to get pregnant without a period? Please help

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Generally, it is unusual for a woman to go without period for more than 2 months after removal of implant. Also, process of ovulation should return to normal after removal of implant. Generally, ovulation should be there within 7-14 days of removal of implant. If it is more than 2 months of removal of implant and you are not having your period yet, a pregnancy test is always advised for confirming/ruling out pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
