Why Shouldn T Florastor Be Taken While On An Indwelling Catheter?

I have been taking florostor for for 2 weeks . I went to the ER 2 days ago because of blood in the toilet. I just read that you should not take it if u have an indwelling catheter. When they put the needle in my arm for the I ve they had a hard time and I bled Ma lot. What does that mean and what is septic shock?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* Florostor is containing probiotics and there is no medical contra indication where you can not take it when there is catheter in situ.

* Blood during needle putting in arm may be related to hard insertion.

* Septic shock is a condition of systemic sepsis where the various body systems get involved in inflammatory response to underlying grave level infection or pathology.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
