Why Suffering From Long Migraines And Headaches After Hitting Head?
I hit my head six days ago and have a bump/dent on my left hairline temple region diagonal to eye. I have had a constant headache since then... Didn t think much since I suffer from migraine but my meds don t help it and my migraines never last this long.
You are likely suffering from a common after effect of striking one's head called POST-CONCUSSION SYNDROME. Headaches (as anyone can imagine) are definitely a reflection of blunt force trauma to the head. In PCS symptoms, things like dizziness, loss of equilibrium, difficulty with attention and concentration can take weeks or even months depending on the severity to clear.
You should see a headache specialist or a neurologist to be sure you get your headaches under good control without overusing medication for what's going on since the risk is that you could inadvertently cause MORE FREQUENT and MORE REFRACTORY headaches to treatment called MEDICATION OVERUSE HEADACHES (MOH).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
