Why There Is A Painful Small Red Bump On My Buttock?
I was outside and the when came back inside, I felt pain and itching on the side of my buttock. It itched intensity for a second but the itch was replaced by pain. It feels like I got a shot in my rear. It s been 30 minutes at least and is still very painful, again just like getting a shit back there. For what I can tell it is a smallish red bump with maybe a tiny dot in the middle. I m thinking mosquito but I have never had a mosquito. tie be this painful.
As per your case history, you are suffering from a Furuncle.
My treatment advice is: 1. Do not squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an NSAID like ibuprofen for 5 to 7 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like Levofloxacin, Cefadroxil and Azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
