Why There Is A Shooting Pain In My Knuckle?

Hello, I am a 35 year old female and i get a sharp pain in between my knuckle(right hand and beween index finger) and it shoots up to the rest of my arm. If I am typing or even brushing my teeth, my hands hurt. I am healthy and very active, what is wrong with me?
