Why There Is Loss Of Vision?

Tonight, over a total period of about 5 minutes, I experienced a gradual loss of vision in my left eye. Slowly, section by section my vision decreased until it was just a grey mist like covering without any discernible colors or visual indications. Vision returned in the reverse fashion, section by section, until returning to normal. No other symptoms felt. My wife thought I might be a bit flushed.
Thanks

Hello
It seems from the history that you had a loss of vision and which returned back and all this took over 5 minutes.
This is transient loss of vision.
The common causes are carotid artery disease, prodromal symptom of central retinal artery occlusion....
Hence this requires evaluation to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly to prevent complications because of underlying cause.
Hence I advice you not yo ignore this and consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
