Why There Is Swelling And Burning Sensation In My Broken Scaphoid Bone?

i broke my scaphoid bone 10 weeks ago after slipping over at work, the hospital first told me it was fractured then i got told it was a break, i am now being sent for an mri scan as i am still in pain, but io have noticed that it keeps swelling and keep getting a burning sensation.im worried its not healing properly
