Why Would A Person Stung With Bee Have Fever, Stiffness And Swelling And Redness In The Area?

Why would a person who was stung by a bee have a fever? The patient also has dvt and was injured playing football 10 years ago. after the bee sting there is swelling and redness in the area with a hard knot. Stiffness in his right leg and pain and it feels hot.

From this description, I believe what you have abbreviated as dvt is deep venous thrombosis.
Bee sting most often leads to local reactions but in some people it may lead to a life-threatening reaction (anaphylaxis). Fever is not often present in any of these conditions. I think the cause of fever in this patient if from deep venous thrombosis. Also, in deep venous thrombosis, there is severe pain in mobilizing the calf which may interfere with movement and might be misinterpreted as stiffness.
