Why Would Having A Bisolvon Nebulizer Cause Irritation?

Dear doctor,My mom is having bisolvon nebulizer once a day. However it seems that production of muscus has increased everytime after the nebu. Looks like that the nebu is causing irritation. Is trus that bisolvon could cause dryness and irritation causing more muscus to be produced ?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Bisolvan is a mucolytic. This means that it is used to break up mucus in the respiratory tract .

It may not be irritating her but causing the mucus present to come up from her tract though it is possible to be allergic to any chemical agent.

You may want to ask your doctor to consider another mucolytic. If this causes no problem then the symptoms were related to the bisolvan only and not mucolytics in general.

I hope this helps
