babies eyes water and shuts when exposed or facing direct sunlight My grandson is 6 months old. Every time you take him in the sunlight or take him for a walk and facing the sun his eyes water and he shuts his eyes and acts like it might hurt his eyes.

Yes it is too bright for th baby. avoid direct sun exposure to his eyes. It might cause damage. If wateriung continues even weithout such exposures, then it wil need further evaluation and treatment for possble tear duct blockage.
