Will Duphaston Cause Any Harm To The Fetus?

Hi i am 25yrs old, i got married on Nov 15, 2013, my usual period cycle is 20th every month but november i didnt get my periods and gynae took pragnancy blood test its negative and she gave cream for my urinary part infection and she advised me to take duphaston tablet 10mg for 5 days during december 15th onwards, i took 2 (10mg ) tablet of duphaston but still my urinary infection become worse so again i consulted gynae she tested my urine on december 17th then oly we noticed i am pragnant. ... will that 2 tablet of duphaston which is 20 mg affect my baby growth....
please reply mee....

hi,welcome to healthcare magic forum.Tab duphaston is dydrogesteron(progesteron).It is given to the women who wants to conceive or are pregnant.In simple language..,It will help in maintaining the pregnancy untill placenta will produce enough progesteron for the growth of fetus.so no need to worry much,it will not affect you baby at all.take care.
