Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand that you have been using MX 2 lotion under the guidance of a dermatologist. This contains minoxidil which is an US-FDA approved drug for treatment of female pattern hair loss.
This will stimulate your dormant hair follicles to grow.Initially, a small percentage of people notice an increase in hair fall. This is because it pushes the resting follicles out of the hair sockets so that the socket can get filled with new hair. This is temporary and is seen till 4- 6 weeks.
Side effects are not common and include irritation and headache.
In general,it is a safe medicine to use and you could continue using it and follow up with your doctor for best results.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
