Will Meftal-P Be Effective For Throat Pain For My 3.9-year-old Daughter?
My daughter is 3.9 yrs has running fever and severe throat pain and is also complaining of both the ears paining from inside... My family doctor has prescribed Azee 100 syrup 5ml for 3 days , crocin 5 ml 240 mg 3 times a day and meftal p 5 ml sos. I wanted to know what is medtal p exactly for is it for throat pain ?? Should i give her meftal p for the throat pain along with crocin ... Is it safe??? I have never given he meftal p this is the first time this medicine is prescribed to her... I have given her crocin temperature has come down but still crying of throat pain ...

* As per my clinical experience, the meftal p consists of a combination of mefanamic acid with acetaminophen or paracetamol in suspension form.
* This drug is usually indicated and prescribed in the condition of abdomen pain, spasm and other related matters.
* As your doc already has prescribed crocin containing paracetamol, I do not agree to add meftal p over that to overdose the paracetamol which may be problematic to the liver of the child.
* Instead of that use cold water tepid sponging over forehead to cool the temperature and wait for the actions of antibiotics to show up within a period of time.
