Hi,
I have read your query & understood your concern.
You have ulcerative colitis & need to control it sufficiently during the pregnancy period& avoid any exacerbation of the disease so that the pregnancy is uninsidental.
- The Mesacol is said to be safe in pregnancy, that way also medicines can have bad effect on fetus in first 3 months. You have already passed that phase. So don't worry.
- taking folic acid supplement would help.
- in case you have symptoms of acidity- you can take antacid preparation like ranitidine to bypass the side effect of the drug.
- regular antenatal check up are recommended.
Thanks
