One and a half year ago, I was diagnosed with Sub-acute thyroditis which later, after a year was cured. Now I have normal TSH and I am not under medication. My endocrinologist had advised me to continue TAYO 60K, twice monthly, though I fully recovered. But 8 months ago I stopped taking that tablet. Now I frequently suffer from calf pain and leg pain. This month, I am due for my first IUI. For that process, I am taking Siphene 100mg per day for five days. However, do you think I need to continue my Tayo 60K? Will it effect my baby?
hi there read your query thats an interesting question
the fact remains that tayo 60k is basically vitamin D so it wont really hurt even if you take it during pregnancy in fact vitamin D may help you and cut down on some of the risks that commonly arise in pregnancy the child extracts the vitamin D needed solely from the mothers body and blood so it will only help you
i would however suggest you have tsh and fbs checked in every trimester, keeping in view the history of thyroiditis. even in normal people, the thyroid and sugars can get deranged in pregnancy. so you need to take special care
best of luck and congratulations dr saumya mittal
