Will Ultrasound Be Effective During The 13 Week Of Pregnancy?
I just received Panorama test results for my 13 week fetus showing positive for trisomy 13. I will be going in tomorrow for genetic counseling and an ultrasound. My question is whether or not the ultrasound will be affective at such an early stage of pregnant, or if I should bring up other options. My husband and I would like to avoid an amniocentesis if possible due to the risks.

I really appreciate your concern, ultrasound does not cause any bad effect or ill effect on fetus even if done in early stage of pregnancy if this is genetic defect seen or suggested then it need to be further investigated for final confirmation the best option is to discuss this with gynecologist, hope this information helps.
