Will Utovlan Help One Ovulate Despite Irregular Periods?

hi. I took the contraceptive injection once a year ago but didnt like the side effects so didnt take the next shot after 90 days. I didnt get periods for a year and then had 2 in the same month so the doctor put me on utovlan 3 times a day from days 5 to 26. Will i still ovulate? Im trying to get pregnant.
