Will A Cracking Sound After Injury Indicate Broken Toe?

Hey I think I broke the base of my big toe. Tripped and fell, and heard a loud crack kind of sound which everyone else heard. It instantly swelled and bruised and i iced it asap. Couldn t put any kind of weight/pressure on the entire left side of my right foot and am in a lot of pain. Had bruising all down that side too. I have also been experiencing the pain going up my leg a bit. I ve been buddy taping it for 5 days now, and elevating, applying ice, resting (havent put any weight on it since i did it) and taking pain killers. Now my foot is now feeling really tight and tingly and still have bruising. People are telling me it should heal fine and nothing can be done but i am in extreme pain and I am unsure whether to see a doctor or not?

Hello,
Welcome, and thanks for sharing your concern
I went through your query, and I feel, you need an X ray done of your foot, looking at the amount of pain it is a high probability that you would have hurt your foot bones.
I hope my advice would have been useful, in decision making regarding your treatment, still if you have any clarifications or doubts feel free to contact back.
Thanks.
