Good evening, My 82 years old mother entered the hospital this past December with a bronconeumonia that was treated. She also dealt with a difficult asma that was also contrlled. She spent about a month and a half going in and out of the hospital for severe leg swelling and anxiety. She sufferers from anxiety and takes medications for it. My mother was indipendent and mobile, but has lost her mobility over the last 8 weeks. She needs a lot of help getting up from bed or a chair. she does not walk. She shuffles to a near wheel chair to be transported to the rest room or to the kitchen table. She is very weak and this is of great concern. The question to you is: Is it possible to deteriorate permanently in such time frame? Medications: Paroxetine, Risperidone,Digoxin, Bumetadine, Potassium CL, Nateglinid, Bupropion, Amlodipine Besylate, Multivitamins, Pantoprazole, Alprazolam, Risperidone, Clonidine, Metoprolol Tartrate, Xarelto,

HI. IT is possible to regain some of the activity, she is already 82 and looks to be having multiple medical problems as per the list of medicines you have provided. Age is always a great problem -more the age slower is the recovery. she may well improve on. You may stop alprozolam with consultation of your Doctor as this can give rise to more laziness.
